The "Insurgent Camp" nature and historical trail in the Poleski National Park begins in the village of Lipniak. It shows many natural phenomena from the world of plants and animals, and gives a fuller idea of the course of the January Uprising in the Łęczna-Włodawa Lake District.
It's best to learn about the history in the field. Around 60 kilometers north-east of Lublin is the village of Lipniak, where the "Insurgent Camp" trail begins and ends. It is a place where you can be close to nature, learn about the course of fights with the tsarist troops and visit places associated with them. During the 4-kilometer trip you will reach e.g. to an old oak "where the Cossack lost his head" during the escape. About halfway there is an observation tower with a panorama of the vast meadows known as "Trains".
