Already in the XV century, Jan Długosz, famous Polish chronicler, wrote that "Poland has two wonderful and admirable things". Among them were fossilized trees in the vicinity of the village of Hrebenne. The Museum of Fossil Trees in Siedliska has the largest collection of these peculiar exhibits in Poland.
