DAY 1

Janowiec – Trzcianki (7 km) – Kazimierz Dolny (23 km)

Janowiec, a picturesque village by the Vistula River, is famous for the ruins of the defensive castle from the 16th century, once belonging to the Firlej and Lubomirski families, and currently housing the branch of the Nadwiślańskie Museum. During your visit climb up the multi-level cloisters, from where you can see delightful views. Nearby a small open-air museum is located with a manor from Moniaki and a number of farm buildings transferred here from various places of the Powiśle region. In the centre of Janowiec there's a renaissance church of St. Stanislaus and St. Margaret, thad displays the features of the Lublin Renaissance style. In Trzcianki, about 7 km away from Janowiec, there's the "Magiczne Ogrody" Family Theme Park - it's particularly interesting for families with children.

 

DAY 2

Kazimierz Dolny – Mięćmierz (4 km)

Kazimierz Dolny is a favourite place for painters, photographers, and filmmakers. It connects magnificent architecture and breathtaking landscape of The Lesser Poland Gorge of the Vistula. There is so much to see in Kazimierz: the castle ruins, tower, renaissance burgher houses, old synagogue, granaries by the river, branches of the Nadwiślańskie Museum, or a view point at the Three Crosses Hill. In the afternoon it's worth to go on a hike along one of the picturesque tourist routes. If you like longer distances we recommend the 12 km long yellow route for Nordic Walking. It will lead you along the boulevard by the river, then two beautiful gorges, and near the quarry with a view point. It's also a good idea to stop in the charming village of Mięćmierz with an original wooden architecture. Kazimierz Dolny and the nearby gorges can also be visited after dark, for example by taking part in the Kazimierz By Night tour.

 

DAY 3

Kazimierz Dolny – Puławy (15 km) – Wojciechów (37 km) – Nałęczów (7 km)

Puławy is a city known from the classicist-romantic palace and park complex of the Czartoryski family. Duchess Izabela Czartoryska established the first Polish museum in the Temple of Sybill. A walk through the park adjoining the palace will allow you to relax among the greenery and interesting historic garden architecture. To get to know some unique traditions, make sure to drop by Wojciechów, known for it's living traditions of folk smithery. Visit the Museum of Smithery, the only place of this type in Poland. Nałęczów is one of the most famous and most beautiful Polish health resorts. The town, located among the forests and gorges of the Nałęczów Plateau, is known as the town-garden. Already in the end of 19th century it was a famous health resort, liked by many outstanding Poles, such as Henryk Sienkiewicz, Bolesław Prus, and Stefan Żeromski - the latter two have their museums here. A walk through the beautiful Park will have beneficial effect on health.
