Lublin, as the heart of the region, will delight you with events such as the Night of Culture, Carnaval Sztukmistrzów, Re:tradition Festival, East of Culture – Different Sounds Art’n’Music Festival, and the European Festival of Taste. You can also enjoy multicultural festivals such as the Three Cultures Festival in Włodawa or the Capital of the Polish Language Festival in Szczebrzeszyn, spectacular shows including the International Balloon Competition in Nałęczów, and other iconic events like National Brewer’s Festival "Chmielaki Krasnostawskie" or the "Gryczaki" Groats Festival in Janów Lubelski. Music lovers will be drawn to International Folklore Festival "Eurofolk" in Zamość, the "Retro Fest" – Festival of Entertainment Music from the Interwar Period in Chełm, or the elegant Bogusław Kaczyński Festival in Biała Podlaska. Film enthusiasts can enjoy unforgettable experiences at the "Two Riversides" Film and Art Festival in Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec, the Lublin Film Festival, or the Summer Film Academy in Zwierzyniec.

Lubelskie jarmarki wydarzenia

Colourful stalls filled with local delicacies, unique handicrafts, and traditional music concerts — all this awaits you in Lublin during the Re:tradition Festival (22–24 August 2025). The event draws inspiration from historical Lublin fairs dating back to the Jagiellonian era. Don’t miss the Hetman’s Fair (31 May–1 June 2025) in Zamość or the St Michael’s Fair (27–28 September 2025) in Biała Podlaska — perfect opportunities to discover regional traditions and purchase products made by local artists. Lovers of folk dance and music from around the world should visit the Ignacy Wachowiak International Folklore Meetings (9–13 July 2025), held in Lublin, Nałęczów, and Włodawa. Meanwhile, enthusiasts of traditional crafts can head to Wojciechów, where the extraordinary skills of blacksmiths will be showcased as part of the National Blacksmith’s Art Fair (11–13 July 2025). If you want to experience the spirit of the past, visit the Lublin Open Air Village Museum, which organises a series of events every year showcasing life in the old Polish countryside.

 

 

TASTES LIKE LUBELSKIE

What does Lubelskie taste like? Find out at the European Festival of Taste (8–14 September 2025) in Lublin. It’s a unique opportunity to savour culinary specialities from across Europe in one place. The event is further enriched by concerts and other cultural attractions. Lovers of traditional food can head to Janów Lubelski for "Gryczaki" Groats Festival (9–10 August 2025), a celebration of groats, folk culture, and handicrafts. A real feast also awaits in Krasnystaw, where the Traditional May Picnic with Carp will be held (3 May 2025) — the programme includes a competition for the best carp dish. Meanwhile, in August, the town invites you to the National Brewer’s Festival "Chmielaki Krasnostawskie" (22–24 August 2025) — the oldest beer festival in Poland. The event was the winner of the Best Tourist Product of Lubelskie Voivodeship 2024 competition, organised by the Lublin Regional Tourist Organisation. Craft beer enthusiasts should also visit Janów Podlaski Castle for the Podlasie Beer Festival (25 October 2025). If you prefer wine, don’t miss the Wine Festival (24–25 May 2025) in Janowiec, the Kazimierz Dolny Wine Festival (11–13 July 2025), or Winogranie of Zamość (9 August 2025). Or perhaps you’re curious about the winemaking process itself? You can uncover the secrets of winemaking during the May Picnic at Sienkiewicz Winery (30 April–4 May 2025) during the Open Cellar Days, or at the next instalment of the White Red Wine Festival at Janowiec Castle (6 September 2025). TIME TRAVELS

Rekonstrunkje historia Lubelskie

Vintage car enthusiasts should make time for the 4. Historic Vehicle Rally (30 August 2025), organised by the Roztocze Museum of the People’s Republic of Poland in Zamość. This is a unique opportunity to admire classic cars and be transported back in time to past decades. On the occasion of the 86th Anniversary of the Battle of Tomaszów Lubelski (19–21 September 2025), breathtaking historical re-enactments will take place, bringing spectators back to the turbulent events of September 1939. Spectacular skirmishes straight out of Henryk Sienkiewicz’s Trilogy will be guaranteed by the Zamość Fortress Siege (23–25 May 2025). In July, the Battle of the River Bug (19–20 July 2025) — a re-enactment of the clashes between the armies of Bolesław the Brave and Prince Jarosław the Wise of Kyiv — will delight Czumów. Lovers of nineteenth-century elegance can look forward to the May Picnic with Mister Prus (May 2025) in Nałęczów, where the atmosphere of the Positivist era will come alive once again. On the other hand, on 27–28 September 2025, it is worth visiting the castle in Janowiec nad Wisłą, where the Fête at the Hetman’s – Renaissance and Baroque Days will take place — an event full of attractions that will allow you to explore the mysteries of the past in a unique setting.

 

 

ON A HIGH NOTE

If you love exceptional music and an unforgettable atmosphere, these events are for you! The East of Culture – Different Sounds Art’n’Music Festival (3–6 July 2025) in Lublin offers an opportunity to hear a variety of musical genres at their best. Don’t miss the Kazimiernikejszyn Festival (16–20 July 2025), full of joy, energy, and spontaneity, with concerts that will stay in your memory for a long time. Zwierzyniec invites you to experience powerful sounds during Rockowisko (4–5 July 2025), guaranteeing a solid dose of musical adrenaline. Fans of rock and metal should also check out the Rock the Square festival (21 June 2025) — a complete novelty and the first festival of its kind in Lublin. Folklore lovers should visit Kazimierz Dolny, where the National Festival of Folk Bands and Singers will take place (26–29 June 2025). This unique event has been bringing together the best folk bands from all over Poland in the picturesque Vistula town for more than half a century. Singing and dancing Zamość will once again become the stage for the International Folklore Festival "Eurofolk" (7–13 July 2025) this July. August is the perfect time for a musical experience — in Biała Podlaska, the 7th Bogusław Kaczyński Festival awaits, attracting lovers of classical music and opera. Chełm has also prepared something special — the International Choir Meetings (27 April 2025) and the "Retro Fest" – Festival of Entertainment Music from the Interwar Period (31 August 2025).

 

 

CINEMATIC VIBESKino lubelskie

Start the film season in Lublin, where the Millennium Docs Against Gravity Film Festival (9–18 May 2025) will present the most interesting documentary productions from around the world. This is an ideal opportunity to immerse yourself in the world of cinema and discover new insights into reality. At the turn of July and August, the Vistula landscapes of Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec will become the backdrop for a unique event — the "Two Riversides" Film and Art Festival (26 July–3 August 2025). It’s a real feast for lovers of cinema and art. What’s more, the beginning of August on the Vistula is also the "Opposite Riverbank" Film Festival (1–3 August 2025). Shortly afterwards, it’s worth visiting Zwierzyniec, where the Summer Film Academy (10–17 August 2025) — an event full of inspiring screenings and meetings with filmmakers — will take place in the neighbourhood of the Roztocze National Park. Fans of documentaries and historical films cannot miss the Zamość Film Festival "Meetings with history" (21–23 August 2025), during which fascinating reports and documentaries will be screened. On the other hand, enthusiasts of independent cinema will find something for themselves at the Lublin Film Festival, which will take place in autumn 2025.

Sightseeing in the Lublin region combined with physical activity? It’s a great idea! The region offers plenty of opportunities for active leisure. Fans of bicycles can take part in events such as the May Cycling Picnic in Józefów (1 May 2025), the Ultra Race Roztocze (9–11 May 2025), the Cycling Race for the Henryk Sienkiewicz Cup (7 June 2025), the Listtowie – A Seven in Hrubieszów (October 2025), or the XV Country Bicycle Rally: "Trails of the Forest Treasure" (17 May 2025). It’s also worth trying your hand at the Ultra Roztocze (17 May 2025), the Lublin Tourist Marathon (24 May 2025), or the Bike Roztocze (28 June 2025). Other options include the Brejdak Gravel - Cycling Ultramarathon (11–14 July 2025) and the National Star Bike Rally (7 September 2025). Runners and triathletes will also find something for themselves. Take part in the Hardcore Kumowa Dolina (8 March 2025) in Chełm, or join the Iron Triathlon (14 June 2025) in Okuninka. The August Bug River Valley Triathlon (30 August 2025) is a great opportunity to combine running, swimming, and cycling. If you are interested in other forms of activity, visit Tomaszów Lubelski for the Hetman’s Run (8 February 2025) on skis or take part in the Canoe Marathon on the Wieprz River (21 June 2025). Hiking enthusiasts cannot miss the Welcoming Spring in East Roztocze walking rally (27 April 2025).

Lublin region has been home to diverse cultures for centuries, which has shaped the region's unique character. Regularly organised festivals promote openness, mutual respect, and a modern perspective on traditions. A special example of this cultural mosaic is Włodawa, where the Three Cultures Festival (19–21 September 2025) serves as a bridge between the city’s history and its contemporary life. The heritage of Lublin’s Jews can be explored more closely during events such as the Lubliner Festival - Jewish Culture Festival in Lublin (August 2025) in Lublin, the Pardes Festival (11–14 September 2025), or the International Festival "Imagine Culture without Bordes" in Kazimierz Dolny (14–17 August 2025).

Discover the rich literary heritage of the Lublin region, which attracts book lovers from all over Poland. The region hosts unique events such as the Capital of the Polish Language Festival (3–9 August 2025) in Szczebrzeszyn and Zamość, which has been bringing together acclaimed writers and literature lovers in Roztocze for years. Lublin was also the inspiration for Isaac Bashevis Singer, winner of the Nobel Prize in Literature, which is why the International Festival "Following I.B. Singer’s Traces" (July 2025) is held here every year. Literature lovers can visit Chełm during the Chełm Literature Festival (9–30 May 2025) and the Chełm Book Fair (30 May 2025) or take part in the Nałęczów Poetry Encounters (June 2025). In Kazimierz Dolny, the Two Moons Literary Festival – The Power of Words (4–6 July 2025) invites you to thrilling encounters with literature. Wojsławice will host the seventeenth edition of Days of Jakub Wędrowycz (11–13 July 2025), alluding to the cult character created by Andrzej Pilipiuk. In turn, Zamość will host the Literary Street Festival (2–3 August 2025). Lublin invites you to literary walks, including along the route of Józef Czechowicz’s "Poem on the City of Lublin" and in the footsteps of Julia Hartwig. Fans of crime and horror stories, meanwhile, should visit Kryminalia Lubyckie in Lubycza Królewska.

 

 

THE BEST OF LUBELSKIE

Seven exceptional events from the Lublin region have won the prestigious Certificate of the Polish Tourist Organisation in the competition for the Best Tourist Product. Among them is the Night of Culture (7/8 June 2025) in Lublin, which transforms the city's spaces into a kind of gallery full of surprising art installations that are sure to impress. At the end of July, it is worth visiting Lublin again, where, during the Carnaval Sztukmistrzów (24–27 July 2025), the streets of the city become an arena for demonstrations of the skills of magicians, jugglers, acrobats, and slackliners from all over the world. Theatre lovers cannot miss the Zamość Theatrical Summer (22 June – 6 July 2025), which provides an unforgettable experience for lovers of the performing arts every year. Other highlighted events include: the Re:tradition Festival (22–24 August 2025) in Lublin, the National Brewer’s Festival "Chmielaki Krasnostawskie" (22–24 August 2025), and the "Two Riversides" Film and Art Festival (26 July – 3 August 2025) in Kazimierz Dolny and Janowiec nad Wisłą. The Capital of the Polish Language Festival (3–9 August 2025) in Szczebrzeszyn and Zamość, which will delight not only literature lovers, is also on the list of honourable mentions.

In 2025, the Lublin Voivodeship will be vibrant with a myriad of events that attract lovers of culture, tradition, sport, and entertainment. Listing them all is a difficult feat. Don't miss the spectacular shows in the Lublin sky – visit the International Balloon Competition (7–10 August 2025) in Nałęczów and Wings over Kazimierz Dolny (12–14 September 2025), where the skies will become the stage for unforgettable shows. From 8–12 August 2025, the prestigious Pride of Poland – Polish National Arabian Horse Show – will take place in Janów Podlaski, and on 12–13 July 2025, flower lovers should visit Końskowola during the Rose Festival. You can celebrate the shortest night of the year in Włodawa, where the traditional St. John’s Eve in Polesie (28 June 2025) offers a unique atmosphere. It is worth heading to Hołowno for the Land of Chamomile Festival (5–6 July 2025), full of attractions inspired by nature and tradition. In autumn, lovers of modern art will find something for themselves at the "Open City" Festival of Art in Public Space in Lublin. Theatre fans will not be disappointed either – as every year, the Theatre Confrontations in Lublin will take place, while in Chełm, the National Meetings of Professional Amateur Theatres will be held (13–16 November 2025). To meet the Brodacze of Sławatycze and come face to face with the beautiful Bug River tradition, head to Slawatycze. For the last three days of the year, they stroll the local streets, and meeting them brings good luck!
